That's right....we got all geared up for the Utes vs. Boise State and I don't think we could have been more disappointed. Utah looked TERRIBLE and Boise State looks like they're headed to the Fiesta Bowl. At least we got to sit in the shade, although we were right in the middle of the Boise State fan section. Hmm.... Ben probably would have preferred to be in the sun. We took Jenna to her first football game and she did awesome. Not a cry the entire time. She just checked everyone out and her eyes got huge everytime Boise State scored and the fans went nuts. Here's a picture of her and Ben this morning as they watched College Game Day and read the paper together. We had to make an unexpected trip to Idaho Falls earlier this week as my Grandma Hammond passed away unexpectedly last Friday. She was 82 and an inspiration to all that knew her. It was great to be with all my cousins and aunts and uncles again as it's been a very long time since everyone has been together. The funeral was beautiful and so was Grandma. She looked so peaceful and it's great that we know where she is and that she's happy. I'm sure she is having a great time getting reacquainted with her parents and brothers and sisters who have gone on before. Here's a picture of her holding Jenna at our family reunion in August. She sure loved all her grand and great-grand children!

Ben heads to Boston this week for his interview at Boston College. I really wanted to go on this trip with him but he has 2 friends from work who are also going for interviews so they decided to all stay together. Oh well. I just told him he better get in this time so I can go back and see Boston!! He thinks he's learned a little bit from his interview at Duke and figures he can do a little better job at this one. Not to say that he bombed the Duke interview....he's still on the waiting list and we're checking the mailbox every day, waiting to hear from them. If we don't get into one of these 2 schools then we'll have to wait until next fall. He's looking at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, a school in Augusta GA, Houston TX, Oakland CA, and Richmond VA for next fall.
We bought Jenna a high chair this week since she was practically lifting herself out of the Bumbo seat that we were using. Funny how six months ago I would have been all for the $100 high chair, but now, the cheap $25 looks just fine and will do the trick. Must have something to do with me working only 8 hours a week!! She looks a little small for it, though....

TUMMY TIME

FINALLY, A SMILE FOR THE CAMERA!!
