Naples Beach

We ventured down to the beach this morning since conference didn't start until Noon. We were the only ones fully dressed and probably looked a little weird, but oh well. I think I'm gonna take Jenna back tomorrow so that we can have our suits on and actually get in the water and stay awhile. It's so beautiful. The waters are so calm and the sand is so soft. And when you go before noon, the heat isn't too unbearable. It actually feels nice.

We have enjoyed conference this weekend. The late times are a little different to get used to and not being able to just flip on the tv. But at least we live in the day of the internet so we can just turn the computer on. Ben went to priesthood last night at 8 at our chapel. Our ward is the only one that meets in our building, so there were only men from our ward there. But they did have ice cream for the guys before, so he felt a little at home. We have gotten to know a few people in our ward and we are really going to be happy here. People have been so welcoming and friendly. There is even another guy RN who is planning to apply to Ben's school next year. The church is a great thing, in that no matter where you go in the world, you always have an instant group to belong to. And it's with people with the same core beliefs and values as you have.

Jenna is growing up so fast these days. She's so much fun to have around and makes us laugh every day. This is what I found this morning when I went in her room....

She has an Elmo stickerbook that she LOVES but the stickers usually end up everywhere other than the book. And we bought her some toys for the lanai so now we can go out there and play a little. She love to be outside, but the poor thing sweats like a pig because it's been so hot. She doesn't seem to mind, so we'll just keep going out and look forward to the cooler weather.
